Haze McElhenny is a freelance artist, illustrator, designer - the principal of studio524 - and the lead designer behind Skirting the Issue. Comfortable in developing design across diverse media Haze spends most of her time working in the fashion industry. She derives her unique style from her organic work that blends elements of Cubism, Fauvism and contemporary illustrator Ralph Steadman.

Haze’s work is both quirky and memorable, with a fun dark side that pushes the viewer's imagination to the outer edges. Popular subjects include women's issues, human rights, globalization, communication, and the complexities of human relationships.

Mirroring the diversity in her subjects she leverages a wide palette of media to achieve her goals, including; digital graphics, acrylics and oils, conte crayon, oil and dry pastels, charcoal and chalk.

Selections of Haze's artwork, graphics, poetry, and short stories have appeared in various galleries and publications around the globe and across the WWW, and were most notably included in the 1999 Biennale del Arte Contemporania, held in Florence, Italy and the 1999-2001 MAC 21 International Art Exhibitions in Marbella, Spain. Innovative and highly motivated, Haze is a self starter with an eye for detail, interested in freelance gigs as an illustrator and graphic designer, CAD artist or design assistant.

Original illustrations, fabric designs, digitizing & repeating patterns, line sheets, and boards are her specialties. She is an expert at Illustrator and Photoshop, web-savvy with experience in HTML, DHTML, Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat. She has also produced a wide variety of work for print and digital media.
