The first step in the design process is quite easy.

  • Gather your contact information.
Please don't forget to include your phone number.
If I have any questions or issues during development I will call you to discuss the issues in person.
  • Take your measurements
Waist - Hip - Preferred Length - Average Height
If you don't know how to measure or are unsure, I have posted a handy guide to help you.
  • Define your issues.
Yes. We all have issues with our shape.
My ultimate goal is to create a skirt for you that will down play the areas of your body that make you feel uncomfortable.
    - Do you want your waist to appear smaller?
    - Do you want to distract attention from ample hips?
    - Do you want to add balance and proportion to your figure?
This information will help me to design a skirt that you will surely love and aid me in fitting a skirt that will flatter your figure.
  • Define your preferences
Choose your style: Roll Top or Drawstring
Choose your fit: Loose & Comfy or Fitted & Butt-Hugging

  • Email your information, along with any notes of consideration that you might wish to include, to skirting_the_issue@yahoo.com.
  • You will receive confirmation within 24 hours of your request and I will schedule a best time to call you to discuss your request, first hand.

Payment is due once you have received confirmation and we have discussed the specifics of your design.

  • The cost for each custom tailored skirt is $150.00 USD.
This includes shipping to the contiguous 48.
  • Shipping to clients over seas, Alaska, or Hawaii will be discounted accordingly. Please ask for a quote.
  • Unless otherwise noted, 10% of the profit, realized from the sale, will be donated to the national chapter of Girls Inc. Donations will be made on a quaterly basis and will be noted in the workroom.

The design process will begin once your payment has cleared. In most cases, this occurs instantly when paying via PayPal. If you have mailed your check you will be advised when the check is received and the funds have cleared.

  • You will be presented with a minimum of 2-3 sketches, detailing color, composition, and important construction details.
  • Once you have selected your sketch and approved the design, you will be presented with a schedule for cutting, sewing, and artwork. The entire process usually takes an average of 7-10 days. Your urgent response to each stage will help to insure that we keep to this time line.
  • Progress reports, in the form of a digital presentation, will be posted in the workroom for your comments and critique. Please let me know if you prefer to keep your style consultations private. If so, your presentation boards will be handled via email.

Once your skirt is completed and the final presentation board has been approved, your skirt will be shipped within 24 hours or, in the case of weekend/holiday work, on the next business day.

  • Shipping within the United States is handled via USPS Priority Mail. You should receive your skirt within 2-3 business days, regardless of your location.
  • USPS International Priority Mail is employed for overseas shipping. Average shipping times vary greatly but, on the average, are 7-10 business days from the time your package is posted.

I'm proud of the quality of the workmanship that I produce and, while I do not accept returns, your comments and critique on the quality of construction, overall design, and compostion are greatly appreciated. Please feel free to make your notes in the workroom or privately via email
